2012 Here We Come!Big acts coming to Swindon in the next few monthsSo here's a list of the best comedy, live music and must-see gigs that are coming soon to Swindon in 2012.
Live Music
And starting the year at the Oasis is one of the biggest names in Classical music - Alfie Boe, who will be bringing his fantastic tenor voice to Swindon on 15 January.
He'll be followed in February and March by the likes of Cher Lloyd, Matt Cardle, McFly and Example's rescheduled gig in May.
MECA March
The next best thing to Bon Jovi are at MECA in March, in what is looking like a brilliant month that also includes The Hoosiers!
Something Alternative
For something slightly alternative, The Vic will be hosting Mr. B The Gentleman Rhymer on 09 February, and talking of comedy, we like the sound of both Glenn Wool and US comedian Michael Winslow also in town at MECA in the next few months.
Also check out the Arts Centre listings for up and coming comedy featuring etc one of the highlights being the hilarious Andrew Lawrence - double chortle award nominee - on 01 March.
There are also tickets available for Chris Addison at the Wyvern on 09 February, not to mention Russell Cane and an extra date for Lee Nelson on 19 March.
And John Richardson won't be making a fool of himself on April 01, either!
Back to the 80s?
For those who fancy a trip back to the 1980s, an appearance by Suggs from Madness at the Wyvern sounds like good fun on 02 February.
And if you're a 'Quo fan, then a night at Riffs Bar on 11 February should be in your diary when John Coghlan - the original Status Quo drummer - brings his band to Swindon. |
